Job Description

The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing part of the sales for the Corporate & Commercial Banking unit and ensures that its strategic objectives contribute to the overall strategic objectives of the unit. Maintaining a client focused sales culture, strategy and marketing in order to ensure the profitable growth and retention of the corporate & commercial clients. This is accomplished through the setting and meeting of financial objectives established by the Manager, Relationship Management, and defining of client centric strategies.

You are based in Curaçao.

Responsibilities

  • Abiding to the Sales Disciplines, implemented and executed by the Manager, Relationship Management, in the pursuit of defined objectives.
  • Achieve the individual sales and revenue goals in line with the team’s corporate strategic objectives.
  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies based on the client segmentation and current financial environment.
  • Focus on sustainable growth for the department by increasing wallet share through cross-selling financial products.
  • Maintaining a strong relationship with the Credit Solutions and Corporate Client Services departments.
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the assigned relationships receive ongoing attention, to maintain, improve, and grow the relationship.
  • Performing client visits to verify that the clients experience is aligned with the department’s sales and service objectives.
  • Providing customers with clear, relevant information by listening to the voice of the customer.
  • Developing new business by executing a regular proactive calling and visitation program, sharing customer’s visit information with relevant departments, and reporting the results to Manager, Relationship Management.
  • Operational & Analytics Mandate: Analyzing the financial statements and determine the business performance.
  • Strategic Mandate: Building strategic relationships both within, and outside the organization

Requirements

Educational Requirements/Previous relevant experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of sales and customer service experience in banking

Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated, adaptable and diplomatic with demonstrated ability to thrive in a challenging, fast paced and team-oriented environment
  • Written and verbal communication in English, Dutch and Spanish languages (advanced level),
  • Strong sales and negotiation tactics and staying informed of new sales and marketing strategies.
  • Good Credit and Risk knowledge
  • A high level of organizational skill is required to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and functions. Strong PC skills are essential as the incumbent uses a PC for a variety of sales, sales management and customer correspondence activities.
