Job Description

Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIAE N.V.) mission is to be the regional leader in providing safe, secure, quality, and profitable airport services that contribute to the general economic and tourism development of St. Maarten /St. Martin and the region we serve.

The Human Resources (HR) Advisor Training & Development will report directly to the HR Director and designs, develops and delivers strategic employee learning and development programs including, but not limited to, management and leadership development, onboarding, career development, including presentations to large or small groups, e-learning, and interactive sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Recommends, designs, develops and implements innovative learning and development programs that support the full employment lifecycle, including onboarding, career development, wellness, succession planning, and management and leadership development.
  • Assesses needs, analyzes gaps, researches best practices, and partners with management to identify, develop and implement successful and innovative learning and development programs.
  • Develops integrated talent/performance/learning reports, HR policies, HR procedures, dashboards, and portals to support a learning organization.
  • Continually monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of programs and makes needed adjustments.
  • Performs other related HR tasks to support the development and management of personnel to support an excellent Employee Experience.

 

Requirements

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a similar role and at least 4+ years of related experience are required.
  • Demonstratable working knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, policies, and HR best practices. 
  • Ability to influence, network, negotiate, counsel, and mediate in responsibility in areas such as complex disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Experience with managing Training & Development programs and managing needs assessment methods.
  • Knowledge of Talent Management System coordination, including integration issues, vendor relationships, and various learning delivery modalities.
  • Well organized and able to juggle multiple tasks; dynamic and result-orientated, meets deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and take the initiative, but also must be an enthusiastic team player.
  • Excellent command of English and Dutch (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Possess an enthusiastic and approachable personality.
