Job Description

The Cashier/ Salesperson ensures that all customers are receiving exceptional customer service while handling all sales transactions in accordance with the company’s rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly and courteous service
• Respond urgently to our customers’ needs while processing sales transactions in an efficient manner
• Answer customers’ questions, and provide information on procedures and/or policies
• Have a basic knowledge of all store products
• Verify credit acceptance by reviewing and recording ID number and operating credit card authorization systems
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct
• Maintain checkout operations by following policies and procedures and report needed changes
• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly checkout area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Requirements

• Customer friendly and service oriented attitude
• High school degree or equivalent
• Accurate and numerical understanding
• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Basic PC knowledge
• Reliable and honest
• Proactive
