Atlas Fund Services - Assistant Fund Account

Job Description

The AFA prepares detailed reconciliations in conjunction with the preparation for the calculation of timely and accurate net asset values per share. They are also involved in various aspects of the NAV preparation process up to providing same for senior review. The AFA is also responsible for certain general administrative responsibilities relating to their clients and for assisting the FA and account manager, as appropriate. The AFA will ensure the department provides exceptional customer service.


  • Reconciliation of bank and broker statements;
  • Preparation of daily, weekly & monthly Net Asset Values;
  • Understanding of fund documentation;
  • Pricing funds according to fund documents and Atlas pricing policies;
  • Calculating fund fees and expenses;
  • Preparing funds for audit and liaising with auditors;
  • Liaise with fund managers and assisting with any queries or specific reporting requirements they have;
  • Produce routine and ad hoc internal management reports;
  • Understanding of fee methodologies applicable to funds;
  • Working knowledge of investor relations process and system to ensure ability to retrieve relevant data;
  • Awareness of terms of fund offering and ensure compliance with same;
  • Clear two-way reporting within team structure;
  • Self review of work product;
  • Familiarity with all systems and their functionality within Atlas;
  • Ensure adherence to Compliance and Audit Regulations; and
  • Preparation of other ad-hoc requests with appropriate direction.


Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting; finance, economics or business related area plus 2-4 years equivalent working experience in hedge fund business.

  • Computer literacy with detailed knowledge of Excel at the least;
