Job Description

The Account Manager reviews and ensures accurate and timely delivery of the net asset value calculations (NAV), prepares/reviews annual financial statements and any other reports produced for the client. The AM assists the team in meeting the client objectives, while ensuring that the policies and guidelines stipulated by the company are properly and effectively implemented and complied with.

Responsibilities include assisting the ED, DO and SAM in the daily operations. The AM ensures together with the ED, DO and SAM that the team operates effectively and efficiently, team members are properly guided and motivated, client relationships are developed and maintained. The AM delivers exceptional client service, while ensuring that the policies and guidelines stipulated by the company are fully understood, and are properly and effectively implemented. The AM is expected to maintain a clean desk policy at all times, serving as an example to the rest of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Review and ensure accurate and timely delivery of the Net Asset Values calculations, financial statements and associated reports, all in accordance with Atlas guidelines and procedures;
  • Supervise the team, and review the work performed by the team members;
  • Calculate daily, weekly & monthly Net Asset Values;
  • Review and have a clear comprehension of relevant fund documentation;
  • Reconciliation of bank and broker statements;
  • Price fund portfolio in accordance with the fund documents and in line with Atlas pricing policies;
  • Calculation of fund fees and expenses and coordinating payment of same (ensuring follow up);
  • Meet expectations of clients, adhere to agreed deadlines;
  • Liaise with auditors and other fund participants and advisers;
  • Ongoing client relationship management to assess client satisfaction levels and optimize the quality of service delivery;
  • Implement tools to guide the account members;
  • Develop and motivate the account members;
  • Keep ED, DO and SAM abreast of important issues and escalate potential problems;
  • Prepares and coordinate ad-hoc reports; and
  • Any other duties which the ED, DO and SAM or management may require as part of the business of Atlas.

Requirements

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics with minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial services/ fund administration, preferably in a supervisory role with CPA, or MBA qualifications.
